Finding Myself In Nature

(taken from my Nomadic Diary 2018)

I realized as I lay in my sleeping bag, waiting for the sun to come up, this is similar to my 45-day Outward Bound adventure, except this time I am on my spiritual quest, finding myself and finding the vision of my dream place.

My Outward Bound adventure was about finding myself and the comfort of learning more about surviving in the wilderness, since I would be teaching and working in outdoor programs. I felt I needed more experience and confidence for this work, which I definitely received experience.

The Outward Bound adventure was twelve years ago, and I am still working on my self-confidence. I have come quite a way since then. My self-confidence now is within me, knowing I have the power to create my vision, my soul work, and follow my spiritual path.

I have had many experiences with the great outdoors and connecting with nature, animals and Mother Earth, but now my eyes are opening even more to the "small" pictures that can be overseen when you are just looking at the big picture.

I watch the birds and listen to them more closely, see the insects clearly, the trees and plants in a different light, and the care of the Earth. I am connected more and I am now on a Trailblazing Nomad Quest, finding my path out of my deeper, darker self, wounds, things that have held me back.

Other people I see along the way are all doing their own quest - some retired and just wanting to travel, some trying to get away from winter weather, some because they have no place to call home, some because they enjoy traveling place-to-place.

A woman I visited with said she and her husband have been doing this off and on for tweny years, and have recently been on the road for five months. He called it boondocking, others call it traveling or camping. Whatever it is called, whatever brought them on this journey is their own personal agenda.

I know I will trailblaze my quest, eventually come through the debris, entanglements, wrong turns, right turns, cuts, bruises falling down, only to get up and find my path to lead me to my visiton.

As I now relfect on my quest, I realize I have come here to bring messages for Mother Earth, Pachamama, for humanity and future generations to create beauty, harmony and balance.
